Message queueing with LavinMQ

A message broker built by message queueing experts

Hi, and welcome to LavinMQ! A message queue pre-optimized to be extremely fast. Here, you will find information on its usage, why it is needed, and how it differs from other message queueing software.

A queue is a series of things waiting to be processed. Similarly, a message queue consists of tasks or messages waiting in line to be handled.

LavinMQ, as a message queue, also called a message broker, makes communication stable within and between IT systems by handling the queues. Message queuing helps you deal with lots of data and sudden increases in data flow where you either need to increase or decrease your capacity.

New to message queuing? Take a look at the messaging guide, Master Message Queueing.

Right now: Global Hack Week in Progress!

A special welcome to all of you, who came here via the MLH hackathon! We are happy to have you onboard. We have a series of fun stuff lined up for you.

Coding challenges to help you get started with LavinMQ and Crystal programming language
  • For this hackathon, we are cranking things up a notch by bringing the Crystal programming language team into the fold. Consequently, we’re not just giving you a taste of LavinMQ; we’re also giving you a front-row seat to learning Crystal, the language that powers it.
  • We’ve crafted a series of challenges that will walk you through building a Crystal-based web crawler that talks to LavinMQ. By the end, you would have built something real, functional, and cool.
Workshops
  • The core Crystal team will be hosting a workshop to help you get started with the language.
  • Of course, we will be back with another LavinMQ workshop, where we will also help you get started with LavinMQ.
