RabbitMQ 3.7 has passed CloudAMQP internal testing and is now generally available.
RabbitMQ 3.7 has been released!
Important note: A full cluster restart is required for all dedicated clusters to get the new version. If you cannot have any downtime, we recommend upgrading by creating a new cluster and after that migrate to the new cluster, for example with help of queue federation.
To upgrade your dedicated instance: go to the nodes tab in the console and click Upgrade RabbitMQ.
Here are two new features in RabbitMQ 3.7 that we would like to highlight:
- Default pre-fetch is now available. This value is by default 1000 in new CloudAMQP servers. This helps protect users from clients that are configured in a bad way.
- Individual vhost message stores are now available. This means shared plans can be even more stable and for dedicated plans with multiple vhosts the disk I/O can be improved.
